I hope everyone is having a wonderful 4th of July! I always get a little homesick for Washington, DC around the 4th. Yes, it is usually hot and crowded and there is lots of extra security, but I love the patriotism that prevails. There is also something magical about sitting outside on a warm summer night alongside family, friends, and neighbors, faces all turned toward the sky, watching fireworks. I’m taking the day off to spend with my husband and friends, but will be back next week with a simple craft project and a delicious recipe.
How are you spending the 4th? Do you have any favorite Independence Day traditions? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
