DIY Christmas: A Chirstmas Craft Page & Reindeer Ornaments

This year I decided to start early on my Christmas decorations and crafts.  I know that a few people will protest and say that Halloween is barely over and it is much too early to start on Christmas crafts.  For those of you who are not ready to start thinking about Christmas crafts, I hope that you’ll follow my Pinterest Christmas Crafts board, bookmark this page, and come back when you are ready to start thinking about holiday crafts.  For everyone else please do all of the above and keep reading!

DIY Reindeer Christmas OrnamentI am starting on my holiday crafts early this year because I think handmade crafts and decorations are a nice way to show love for family and friends, but I also like to actually spend time with family and friends doing things other than crafting and I simply don’t have enough time between Thanksgiving and Christmas to do all of the crafts that I would like.  The lovely green velvet fabric that has been sitting in my craft closet for almost a year waiting to be made into stockings is testament to that.  By starting early, I hope to craft at a more leisurely pace and also give you time to make any projects on the blog that strike your fancy.

I have started a Christmas Craft page that I will add to as I blog about my crafts.  Please consider subscribing to my blog to make sure that you don’t miss out on any of my fun holiday and winter crafts. Here are a couple of photos that I took of the sidewalk art at the festival:

Pretty cool huh? To continue on the chalk theme, today I’ll show you how I made a framed chalkboard  using an inexpensive thrift store frame and paint.

After trying to write the title of this project on my chalkboard, I have a whole new level of respect for the chalk artists!
